In 2014, SIIM obtained the highest level IFS Food certification (version 6). This certification was renewed for the same level of performance.
The International Featured Standards (IFS) Food is one of the main international food safety and quality standards. Having attained the highest level IFS Food certification, this attests to the reliability but also high standard of the requirements set out in the quality and food safety policy implemented within SIIM. The IFS Food certification thus complements the strong commitments already made by SIIM in terms of quality, hygiene, health safety and traceability, notably through the systematic Global GAP certification of its suppliers and its FeL Partenariat approval.
In 2015, SIIM obtained full Authorised Economic Operator status, a European label awarded by French customs covering both customs simplification and safety and security regulations.
As an integral part of SIIM’s quality policy, this trust mark, which is recognised internationally, is additional recognition of the organisation’s reliability and strength and its security, safety and traceability processes. Thanks to this authorisation, it can combine all customs clearance operations in Europe.
SIIM obtained in 2021 certification according to the “Chain of Custody” (CoC) standard from Global G.A.P. A certification that guarantees that any product bearing the Global G.A.P. is indeed Global G.A.P. by imposing verification at each transaction point in the supply chain, this certification provides transparency and full traceability on products marketed under the Global G.A.P. certification.
FeL Partenariat and Fel’Excellence are approaches common to three business lines (shipping-exporting, importing and wholesale) and specific to the fruit and vegetable sector. They are based on self-inspection and approved by the public authorities (DGCCRF agreement) and supported by professional federations (ANEEFEL, CSIF, UNCGFL). They are voluntary and responsible approaches to food safety and traceability.
Bratigny is one of the few Fel’Excellence-certified wholesalers (only 18 fruit and vegetable wholesalers have this certification in France, of which 14 in Rungis).
SIIM and Bratigny are Organic Agriculture certified by Ecocert and offer a range of organic products all year round. This offer has increased in recent years to meet European consumers’ expectations.
Committed to sustainable agriculture that is respectful of producers and plantation workers, SIIM supports the Fairtrade/Max Havelaar system through several of its certified products. This certification provides smaller farmers and workers in the south with better business and working conditions and gives them the opportunity to invest in a sustainable future.
